I got more than a little overwhelmed on Friday when the links, emails, mentions, tags and hits just flooded in. It was crazy. So Saturday, Love and I took a day completely off the interwebs. We took a drive over to Orlando, talked, walked around, window shopped, people watched, had a burger, watched some fireworks and came home. It was a simple but nice day where we just enjoyed hanging out with each other. I didn’t check my email, my stats, or anything for the whole day and it was kinda nice. 🙂
Today though, I wanted to make a public thanks to the flurry of sales at my shop and hysterectomy fund donations I had waiting for me from yesterday. In the past four days (January 4th – this morning) I’ve received just shy of $400 in donations which is simply amazing. Thank you each of you!!
My poor web hosting account was never meant for this much traffic and yesterday I got an email notifying me I was at 80% of my monthly transfer allotment. Ha! Normally I’ve never even come close. This month may change that.
As of right now: Monthly Bandwidth Transfer 6912.23/7000 MB
Whoops! Who knew going viral would have unexpected side effects like this? LOL
In other news, Love’s umbilical hernia surgery is Thursday. He’s getting nervous now (of course!) and counting down the days. He’ll be off this Thursday and Friday and all of next week, returning back on the 23rd. Including weekends, that gives him almost two weeks of recovery which is what the doctor said was required for the surgery. He’ll have lifting restrictions much like I did for awhile, though the surgeon said that unlike mine, he doesn’t have to go all the way through into the abdominal cavity. That helps with the pain and healing. For me, they had to go all the way through the muscle and into the abdomen itself, whereas for his, it’s much closer to the surface. I’m sure it will still suck but it just won’t suck quite as much. *chuckles*
I’m still doing good. My stamina is s-l-o-w-l-y increasing and so long as I don’t push myself, the deep aches and pains are better too. It’s amazing the different it makes just taking it a little easier. I’m trying to rest up as much as possible right now since I’ll be taking care of Love as he recovers for awhile so I need to keep my own strength up.
Today we need to take down the Christmas tree and pack up everything. I was going to do it Friday but then, I wound up spending the entire day online so that didn’t happen. Heh. Always sad to see it go but it’s definitely time.
Tomorrow, a reporter from the Tampa Bay Times (formally St. Petersburg Times) paper wants to talk to me about my image and PCIP so that will be weird. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Oh! Lastly, I’m actively working on restocking the shop with replacements of items that sold. So look for that in the next day or two as well. If something sold that you want, just drop me a note. Most things can be recreated. I also gladly do custom orders as well.
Alright well it’s time to get off the computer for awhile again and get some errands done. Just wanted to give my thanks for the support and kind messages I’ve received. It still amazes me that so many people are sharing my story and image but I hope it’s a force for good.

Glad to hear you had some time for yourself… good luck with the interview! Also, my best to Love, hope recovery is quick, and comfortable. May the force be with you. 😉
Thanks! I appreciate the well-wishes for us both. 🙂
