Thursday night I woke up every 45 minutes or so the whole night long feeling like I was being cooked in an oven. Not night sweats specifically as I wasn’t sweaty, but more night hot flashes. The heat of my whole body would wake me up and I’d find myself laying there just overwhelmed by the heat. Holy shit it sucked.<\/p>\n

Last night wasn’t so bad – just took forever to fall asleep and I woke up many times through the night – but it wasn’t anything near like the night before.<\/p>\n

I’m worried in general though about the insomnia problems I seem to be experiencing and I know it’s part of the Lupron side effects but I’m hoping the add-back hormones will help level things out. Not being able to sleep is miserable especially when you’re exhausted and achy already.<\/p>\n

Last night we went to an event that was an art auction to benefit a local animal shelter. Love donated a drawing and I donated a tree of life pendant and both sold in the silent auction. There was also a live auction and Love’s mom who came along, managed to get a signed lithograph of a P. Buckley Moss<\/a> piece for only $50. It’s her favorite artist and they go for much more than that so it was a steal for her. I picked up a really handmade pretty vase and bowl in the silent auction. I tried to win a print of 3 penguins but lost out to a little kid who’s vet mom was willing to spend much more then I was to get it for him.<\/p>\n

We had fun though and it was nice getting out for a bit. Haven’t really done anything besides doctor’s appointments and small errands in weeks now so just doing something<\/i> was a good change.<\/p>\n

Anyway, off to do some errands but just wanted to give a small update since it’s been a few days. The night hot flashes Thursday were unbelievable though and I really hope I don’t see more of those. Ugh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
