Today marks 5 weeks post-op since my hysterectomy. Things continue to progress well in terms of my healing. At least, how I feel. Next Thursday, I have my big 6 week appointment where they will let me know how things are healing internally<\/i>.<\/p>\n

But, right now, all is pretty decent. The right incision is almost gone. (I actually put an arrow to help point to it since it’s so hard to see in the photo!) The left one is still tender and sensitive. I made the mistake of accidentally scratching it today – totally mindless, just a natural reflex – and it HURT really bad when I did that. My belly button is still really aggravatingly tender and it gets achy wearing pants. Any amount of pant wearing is unacceptable to it. Damned re-attaching nerves! LOL<\/p>\n

I’ve had less swelling lately which is good. In fact, someone yesterday asked me if I lost weight and said I looked really good. So that was a nice comment to hear. (Since the swelling has really been a downer.)<\/p>\n

Next week is the big one so we’ll see a week from now if things are as good internally as they appear externally.<\/p>\n
