Been quiet around here the past few days because it was a 3-day, holiday weekend. Today (Monday, May 28th) is Memorial Day and a Federal holiday so most companies are closed, including Love’s. (Plus things like banks, post office, etc.) It’s also considered the “unofficial” start of summer here in the US. People BBQ and have cookouts and kids are getting out of school and such, so it’s usually a pretty laid back sorta welcome to summer.<\/p>\n
We didn’t really do anything exciting this weekend. Ran some errands, watched a couple movies on cable (“Source Code” and “Super 8” – I liked Source Code a lot better of the two), bought some burgers and grilled them up on our super awesome grill pan.<\/a> I made some items for orders dropped them off at the post office (with thanks to the Automated Postal Center; basically a self-serve machine in the lobby you can use 24\/7.) Tonight, I made some new items for the shop<\/a> which I’ll photograph and upload tomorrow. <\/p>\n It’s been freakishly hot which sucks, but sadly, isn’t terribly surprising. It was feels-like 100F (38C) Saturday so that’s fun. Love’s a\/c isn’t working right in his car (and yes, that IS after spending like $3,000 at TWO locations about a year ago to fix the thing so don’t get me started on the rage involved) so we’ve been using mine instead for local running around past few days. Mine is nice and cold thank goodness.<\/p>\n But really, nothing interesting to post. I’m kinda babbling just because I realized it’s been days since I posted. I haven’t even tweeted or really been on facebook or anything this weekend.
