Today marks a week since I got sick. And I’m still sick. In fact, I just had to call into work again<\/i>. The flu has moved into my head now. I’m coughing up nasty shit and I’m also blowing my nose and having gross stuff come out. I mean, it’s good it’s coming out but…because it’s all in my head right now, it’s also in my ears. My ears in general are delicate and prone to problems but having all this move into my head has really made things bad. <\/p>\n
I’m dizzy all the time. Just that unsettled woozy, head-swimming feeling. And on top of it, I keep getting this horrible vertigo spells so strong I close my eyes and grip the chair in panic because I can’t stop the feeling that I’m moving\/falling. It feels like being on the edge of blacking out.<\/p>\n
Needless to say I didn’t exactly feel safe driving like this. So I had to call my boss and explain I was just too unbalanced and sick to be in today. I told him I’ll try to work late the other days this week to try and make up the time so I’m not losing the hours but you know, it still doesn’t look good. What am I supposed to do though? I can barely walk across the room, let alone drive to work and then focus on the fine details of my job.<\/p>\n
I’m going to take an antivert and lay back down. The stuff helps a lot but it completely knocks me out so I can’t take it and then stay awake. I don’t think the weather is helping today either. Still Very High Pollen counts AND it’s a rainy, thunderstorm day so we have storm fronts and pressure changes. I think it’s one of these “perfect storm” moments for my damned ears. Ugh.<\/p>\n
Anyway, just sucks. I just want to start feeling better and stay feeling better! This damned flu has been so miserable. It feels like I’ve been sick forever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
