I got a really bad headache-bordering-on-migraine late yesterday evening, like around 11pm or so. Just really sudden and out of nowhere. I got ready and went to bed. And I fell asleep ok until Gracie woke me up around 4:30am because she was scratching my leather computer chair. (GRR! BAD CAT!)

We shooed her out of the room and closed the door behind her. Love’s alarm goes off at 5am so he wanted to get his last half-hour of sleep. I tried to lay back down my my headache had gotten worse. I really didn’t want to take one of my Immitrex (I only have three left so they’re like gold and I just don’t use them unless it’s desperate) so after laying there miserable for about 15 minutes, I got up and got a couple Excedrin instead. It normally helps with headaches-into-migraines if they’re not full-blown yet. I also grabbed the cold eye beanie thing I have and tried to lay back down.

Guess the caffeine in the Excedrin wired me too much because I just could not fall back asleep. I laid there through Love’s shower and through him getting ready. I got up briefly to pee and read my Nook a little hoping it would wear out my brain a little, but nope. He left, I laid back down and tossed until I finally feel asleep around 7am. So I was up from 4:30am – 7am. Ugh.

Woke up before my alarm around 9:40am. My stomach was unhappy with me (from lack of sleep and the caffeine probably) so I didn’t bother trying to get my last 20 minutes of sleep. I just got up and started my day.

Long day today at work; we have our bi-weekly meeting which keeps me there until about 6pm (instead of leaving my normal time of 4:30pm). We’re having a pot luck today though for our team so it’s kinda like a little mini birthday party though so that’s kinda nice. And, today is my last day at work until next Thursday.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Love’s brother is coming over and we’re going to watch the Eastern Conference Finals of Lightning vs Bruins. (Love is so not happy about this pairing since he’s been a Boston fan for like 30+ years and they’ve never won the Cup in that whole time but he also likes the Lightning, so for him, it’s lose-lose! *lol*)

Sunday, I found a really good price on a room in Downtown Disney and I got an unexpected credit line increase in my credit card, so I splurged and got the room. (It’s a king bed, two-room suite for $79. Seriously, a great deal!) This will let us stay over Sunday night into Monday (my actual birthday) at Disney. And since we already have our annual passes through August, it’s an inexpensive way to have a little birthday weekend. (We’re in our off-week of paychecks to start with and the last check was rent to boot so we’re kinda broke this weekend.) Looking forward to it. We should have fun.

But, I need to get through today first. Damn am I tired. Stupid, long hours of not sleeping have left me really groggy and fuzzy in the head. Glad it’s Friday though and looking forward to getting going on my birthday weekend celebration!

Only 2 days, 13 hours and 7 minutes until my birthday on May 16th!

Man, what a miserable night.
