Another quickie note, the Digital pics of me that I took the other day didn't upload properly, but no one told me! *pouts* So, anyway, I just re-uploaded them and they should be working now. Something a little more recent anyway.

Arg! Still have stuff to write - just haven't had time to write it. Yesterday was full of preparing for our office party tonight. Too much to do!! Just adding another log on my links list. This one is WynnFae's Live Journal. She's a member of my forum and I never knew she had one until now. Something else to read when time permits.

Not a real entry today either - just not enough time - but a quick note and a couple images to tide you over. Tonight I'm being dragged (reluctantly) to see "Lord of the Rings." I may be the only person in the country who could not only care less, but rather not see it, but eh...trying to be nice. My Love is super excited about it, as are all my friends and we have a group of seven going tonight, so I'm coming along to be social. Ick though, I do not like anything having to do with Tolkien. *waits for people to pick up their jaws* Yeah, yeah...amazing writer or whatever (I wouldn't know, I simply refuse to read his works) I've been turned off by them since I was a very small child and to this day I want nothing to do with it. ANYWAY...gotta get out of here on time to make it the 20 miles home PLUS get over to the theater like another 15 or so away. *whew*
That said...here's a cool image I took on my friend Rand's camera the other night that I just liked. Believe it or not, it looks a lot better full size and makes a pretty decent wallpaper. (I'm just not that narcistic to have my own pic on my desktop!)

So, it's Monday and I'm (of course) at work. On lunch, being the digital geek I am and posting an entry.
Monday Mornings I still don't know how my boss, Jim, manages to be so damned chipper and happy on a Monday morning. I mean I see where he's coming from when he says it's 1/7 of your life so why be miserable, but I'm just saying that no matter what time you go to bed on a Sunday night, it still feels like the alarm goes off approximately 3.7 minutes after you get comfortable and fall asleep. Why is that?? So...no being my normal, glum, trying-to-remember-how-to-deal-with-the-world self for me on Mondays now; just a lot of yawning and attempted perkiness. Hey, it makes him feel better if I at least try to act like Mondays aren't a bane of all that is eeeevil in the world. *lol*
Could it truly be Winter finally? I heard a report on the radio this morning that we may FINALLY stop running twenty degrees higher then normal for this time of year and could possibly see some temperatures in the 70's starting tomorrow! Whoo-hoo! You have to understand that we've had NO break in our late summer weather at all this year. None. So, when it's December 17th and the highs still reach almost 90, it's muggy as hell out, and all you want out of life is to be able to wear a long sleeved shirt - even just once - the report that we are, after SO LONG going to have a break in this stagnant heat is so wonderful. Here's to a high of 76 tomorrow!!
O Christmas tree... So, last night my Love and I put up our tree. It took us literally all day, stopping in like 8 places across three cities and two counties before we finally found a place that had something more then a Charlie Brown Tree. I gotta tell you, I was really starting to worry that we'd just not find a tree at all. After sacrificing paying bills just to be able to get the damn thing, that would have just slightly sucked. :) But, I'm happy to report success! And, we spent about half what we normally spend. ($45 instead of almost $80 - yeah, trees are pricey here because all we can grow are palms and oaks) Anyway, TREE! Tree! Tree! It's looking a bit lop-sided around the bottom, but you know what, it's a beautiful tree, it's full of my lovely ornamnets (some of which I am the THIRD generation to have on my tree; these things are like 60 years old), and all a sparkle with lights. I'll get some pics with my friend's digital cam hopefully tonight, so I'll post them tomorrow.
Anyway... Looks like lunch is over (already). Bah humbug. Happy to report though that I can now swallow without pain and my throat is showing visual improvement. Five days in, five days left to go with the antibiotics, but it's worth it to cure the danned strep throat. (in the slightly humorous, but not really cause I didn't want anyone to get sick way, the sales manager got the strep throat from me but the reason this is slightly funny is that no one else in the office did and no one else in the office went psycho with spraying Lysol everywhere to try to NOT get it! Oh, poor thing...out sick today because of it.)
Alright, I think there was more, but here I need to close. Got a new person to train - oooh, a subordinate! - and tons of work to do. Have a good day all!
Insert the entry I was going to write here. *yawn* I'm tired. And my wrist hurts like a bitch. (right wrist/should have been screwed up for like 6 months...don't know what's wrong, but I shouldn't have hours of burning pins and needles I'm sure)
In short, was off Thursday because it was strep. Walk in clinic cost $70 and the prescription cost $90 Money of course I don't have.
Went in Friday with most my voice back. Throat still hurts to swallow but I can speak. Still looks beyond nasty with the white things back there, but it doesn't hurt as much.
Went on Friday to the mall on lunch to get the Amy Brown 2002 calander. It's sold out on the site and you can only get it besides there at some store called Hot Topic. Man are they rude. They suck and I'll NEVER got there again. Walk in, tell them what I'm looking for. The chick turns around and walks off. I just sorta follow. Points at the wall, says there are the calanders and walks off. Nice, hu? This is my abreviated version since it's so late, but the point is, fuck them man, they were nasty and this is my public shout-out that they suck. Sorry I wasn't Goth or pierced or freaky enough for them in my babydoll tee and jeans - to think that they've probably all been to my site at one time or another.
Anyway, there's the summary. Sucks because it's late and I'm heading home. Sleepy. It's 3am, what do you expect? My Love's out with his guy friends tonight so I wandered over to another friend to use the computer. Should probably get home though. Seems the good thing to do.
