Sheesh, light on the entries hu? lol Well, I had an interesting time the last couple days teaching myself CSS so I could apply a color scheme to the domain Chris and I have been trying to launch for about two months now. I'm happy to announce that it is up (albeit needing a little more polishing) and open. MindsDisturbed.com It's a half his/half mine kinda deal with two primary journals, cams, and assorted commentary on life. It's just been born, but feel free to take a look about and pinch it's cheeks. ;)
Eep. There's some wicked lighting flashing out the window and a hell of a lot of thunder so I might just disapear this evening. I hope it's not before I can post my entry! (cringes) Damn, lighting in florida is a scary thing. We're like the number two in the WORLD for lighting strikes. We're the lighting capital of the US and only some remote location in the Outback of Australia tops us. (translation: Lighting is dangerous shit around here)
Woke up this morning uber sick to my stomach. Ugh. Nothing like spending your afternoon in the restroom 'cause you just don't feel well enough to get out of it for any period of time. My Love and I were going to go over to Orlando today to hang out and just get out but it was well after 4pm before I felt well enough to tackle Target let alone a bit of a road trip. Blah. The way cool news is that I was able to get a 128MB Smart Media card for my camera today to upgrade the 8MB one it came with! :) Now I'm not limited to a mere 16 high quality shots, with the 128MB card I now get 257 High Quality shots! LOL Isn't that awesome? And, the card was on sale so I got it super cheap. Normally $89.99, it was $69.99 plus 10% off making it $62.99 and THEN another $20 rebate making it $42.99. Spent the last of my birthday money on it, but damn! It was so worth it! Put it this way, the 64MB cards were $49.99! Yeah! :) More shots means more chance to take pics without having to run back to the PC to upload them. That is simply amazing. I LOVE my digital camera. Thanks again so much to Anthony and Cynthia (wherever you guys got off to) for the gift.
Last thing left is a $40 gift card to Target - and there's just so many things I love from that store I can't narrow down what I want to do with it. *hee hee* I was thinking of getting a George Foreman Grill since we both love beef (hamburgers, steaks) but are not allowed to have an outdoor grill in our apartment and there's not a lot of other good ways to cook a steak without one. The medium sized one goes for about $60 here in Target. We really don't one smaller then that, but ugh, $60 seems like a lot. (It's still $20 more then my gift card!) Anyone know of any place to get one online cheaper? Or a coupon or a rebate for them?
Anyway, I'm feeling better finally - mostly - so hopefully we'll get to go out there tomorrow.
**note: yeah for hitting the "post" button every few during this, knowing how unsteady the power and cable are and knowing there would be brown-outs. And there were. Two in a row brought everything down several seconds each time.**

Ended up going out to eat at Outback with my Love, Rand, and Joolo. It was fun. My Love bought me some beautiful red roses (pic up as soon as I upload it!) and Rand brought me some pretty spring flowers and a Tiger balloon. I had a really fun day. I also took some pics - ok, quite a few actually - of the new clothes I bought with my birthday gift certificates the other day. I've already started going through them to crop and compress so look for those later on tonight as well.
For now, I need to close since I have a 3pm interview with a personnel agency about a position I applied for. Seeing as it's 2pm and I'm not even dressed, I need to get to it. Wish me luck, it's the first nibble I've gotten thus far!

Ok, technically, while it is the 16th, it's not really my birthday until 7:49am eastern time...but, eh, I'll be asleep during that point of the morn, so this will have to do. Yes folks, I am now 25 years old. Man, getting old. *weird*
Anyway, heading off to bed I think now. Been working on completing the CSS (had to learn it first) for the co-project Chris and I are up to. (mindsdisturbed) and I think I've just about got it all. Yeah for me! I learned something new. (sorta, but more then enough to effect a color scheme on a php scripted site. whoo hoo!)
My wrists are bugging me and my right shoulder's really acting up (the one that keeps popping out of place and I'm supposed to see an orthopedic surgeon about but I lost my insurance right after the x-rays were taken? Arg) so I think after ignoring it for several hours, it's time to give in and go to bed.

Ok, now, a couple things. One, he needs glasses, but eh, the facial hair was great so I had to pick it.
Two, he only wishes his hair where that blue AND that it stick up all cool and spiky (and not all silly and spiky like Steve Martin from My Blue Heaven, although it really only does that when he doesn't style it, so it's not normally that bad. :D)
Three, well the meat is accurate. It's Joolo for cryin' out loud, the boy can eat!
Four, the shirt should be his neon blue one but alas, this one will have to do.
All-in-all, it's a pretty accurate lego man. *hee hee* This is fun.... weeeeeeeeeeee!

There are a ton of hair, arms, legs, faces, etc. that you can add combine to make your lego person - some of them are really silly like Spiderman and such. Orbie put a wand in one hand (it's her Princess of Power peeking through! lol) and a cig in the other (hey, no smoking now!). There's so many options, it's a lot of fun.

Just got back from the vet; Kush-ka had his stitches out today. Things look good, the site healed up surprisingly well. The vet was very pleased with his progress. Now, comes the wait and see part again. Wait and see if they come back; wait and see if he gets another lump; wait and see what happens next. It's so frustrating. My cat is so otherwise, wonderfully healthy...he just has reoccuring cancerous tumors.
I'm really happy though that at least, for now, he's doing really well. I guess, in the end, it's the small things like this which are the things to focus on. The fact that today he's well and healing nicely and that he's sitting here next to me on the window sill enjoying the view. :)

I had the BEST day yesterday. I had a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY! *giggles!* Yeah! It was great! Everyone was there and I had no idea they were doing it! I have a ton of pics to format and post and a TON to tell (I got my pc desk! and the new DDR! Yippie!) but I have to go get ready now because we're going over my Love's parents house for mother's day. Pics, and info later. But yeah! :) :) :)
