So today, it rains. It's been pretty consistant this rain - most of the morning and into the afternoon, the sky continues to give forth more rain. Thunder rumbles across the sky as bright bolts of our infamous lightning touches down. Normally, we don't get rain all day here, especially not in the summer months. Normally, we get ten minutes of rain here and there that leaves no trace of it's passing moments after it's done. Sometimes, it's just nice to see the rain - real rain - fall all day and hear the grumbles of the thunder.

In other news, a few days ago I made a purchase to replace my lost earcuff. I had that thing for about two years now and had bought it at the local Renn Faire. I loved it. Sterling etched in complex and lovely scroll work, I wore it all the time. When I went a few weekends ago to use my giftcard at Nordstrom's (a birthday present from my friend's mother), I lost it while trying on clothes. I was heartbroken. I looked on ebay and came across some that I liked. There was nothing to be seen that was the same as what I had lost - I could not find any that were etched the way my lost one was - but I did find two I liked. They were about $10 total including shipping whereas I believe I spent about $15 for my one. Both sterling, they seemed like a good deal and I ended up getting them both. They arrived yesterday and they really were amazingly nice. Even nicer then in the pics:




Because they were so nice and because the seller was so quick (both in email and in shipping), I wanted to recommend them here for anyone else interested in such jewelry. My experience with the seller was perfect and the items were just lovely. I don't know them and they don't know I'm doing this, but I thought it would be a nice way to recommend someone I found to be reliable in a sometimes sketchy subject.
