The Longest Day of the YearIn my grumpiness about the whole father's day thing, I totally overlooked that it was a holiday. So Blessed Midsummer to all my fellow Pagans and a Happy Summer Solstice to the rest. This is the longest day of the year; the day when the sun is at it's peak. From here on out, the days will slowly grow shorter. Though it feels like we've already been in the brunt of the summer heat for several months now, and though we have the dog-days of summer heat yet to look forward to, it is yet a reminder that slowly but surely, the night and winter do approach.
