There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

Christmas Haul
Because we all got a lot of fun stuff, I thought I'd share. Come on, it's all giddy-making to get stuff you like and who doesn't like presents? So I added a new gallery to the photo page. Here's a shot of the tree xmas morning with all the gifts under it. *Note: this is ours, both our families worth and our friends combined. You can see a photo recap here. The sum? *deep breath* Love got me a Nintendo DS and Nintendogs to go with it. Oh. My. Gods. It's SO FREAKIN' CUTE! He also tried to find me Animal Crossing: Wild World (the sequal to the hyper addictive Animal Crossing that came out on the GameCube a few years back) but they're psychotically sold out everywhere. He also got me two of the Boyds Charming Angel figurines (Amissa, Guardian of Friendship and Julianna, Guardian of Wishes.) I have a ton of them and I love them very much. There's always more coming out or ones I haven't seen, so it was great to get two of them. And he also got me the Christmas 2005 Godiva Bear (I have quite the collection of them too.) I got Love two movies - Casablanca and A Christmas Story - and went in halves with our friend Rand on a drafting table for him. He's wanted one for years. I found a beautiful all wood one. I also got him a chair to go with it. He loved it. I was so happy. (Now we just need to find a place to put it!) Our friend Rand got me the Complete Calvin and Hobbes collection. Weeeeeeeeee! I love Calvin and Hobbes. I think it's philosophy in comic form. It's awesome. Three volumes, spanning every comic. He also got me two calendars - a faery one and a celtic one. He got Love and I a joint gift too of a deep fryer. Which rocks. We've been wanting one. I have this thing for french fries. Now I can have them all the time. We fried up some fries for the first time the other night. Turns out the thing cooks fast! Faster then the suggested cooking time. So we ended up with, well...extra, extra, extra crispy fries. Next time we know better. My mom got Love and I a crock pot. It's another thing I've really been wanting. (No, really. I know it's super uncool to want kitchen appliances for the holidays but dammit, I do. I still want a toaster oven too. Heh.) It's a really nice one. In fact, tomorrow we'll be trying our hand at our very first pot roast. Groovy. She also got us a nice sheet set. Always a good thing. She also got me an ornament - this year's Frosty Friends piece. See, there's a bit of a back story on that. They started in 1980 though the first one I got was in 1981. I loved that thing. So much that I kept it on my dresser all year just to look at it. Well, years and years later we saw another one in the store. And realized that it was a series! There had been one each year. This year makes #26 in the series. So a few years back, when we discovered this, we started getting them. She's gotten me one every year for the last few years so that at this point I have about seven. One of these days I'm going to try to go back and fill in the blanks but some are quite expensive at this point and not easy to find. Anyway, it's become a tradition for her to get me the new one each year. She also got us a Yankee Candle in Manderin Cranberry. She always gets everyone a candle for every holiday. Love's parents got us gift certificate to Outback. So did Love's Aunt. *laughs* And while I love steak and all, it's way too much for one place. I don't know how we're going to use all of it! (Anyone want to trade equal value for something like Target let me know. It's just too much for one place!) My Nanny got Love a JCPenny gift card. And my sister got me a gift card for Express. (Home of my way overpriced but amazingly awesome Rock Star Jeans.) All-in-all it was quite a wonderful holiday! I was plesantly surprised and super happy with everything I got and Love was blown away by his drafting table. He never expected it. At all. Made for a nice day. I hope everyone else had a great holiday season as well!
