There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

Eventful Weekend - Love's Birthday Evacuation
So we had a busy weekend. Saturday was Love's birthday and all he wanted for his birthday was a day at Walt Disney World, so that's what we did. Our friend Rand was going to come with us, but he had been sick all week and still wasn't feeling any better, so he ended up not coming. Friday night I gave Love a nice cake from the Publix bakery and sang Happy Birthday to him. Saturday we went to Disney. And Sunday, we napped and lazed around, recouping from a long day at WDW. We had a first though at the park. We went to our favorite - Magic Kingdom - and had a normal day. Rode a bunch of rides, ate yummy food and snacks and just generally had a great time. Then around 9pm ish, we decided to hop on TTA. That stands for Tomorrowland Transit Authority. (It also used to be called the People Mover and WEDway.) It's a ride that goes along and above Tomorrowland, in and around some of the buildings. It's kinda slow moving, but it's scenic, relaxing and just a nice thing to do. We normally ride it a few times throughout the day when we're there. Well, we had ridden it earlier in the day and thought we'd get in one more. Turns out, we shouldn't have. Heh. We get on. And almost immediately, it comes to a stop. The way the ride is set up, it's in constant motion. You load around a circle area with moving platforms and exit the same way. The cars never stop. Well, it did just past the end of the load platform. So we sit. And sit. And they keep telling us that the ride will re-start momentarly. We've had it stop a few minutes here and there before due to technical problems, but nothing like this. About 15-20 minutes go by before we finally start moving. Everyone applaudes. So we start on the route and the first stop takes you around and into Space Mountain. Well, we come through the tunnel and see the car in front of us. And we're getting closer to it. That shouldn't happen. Pretty soon we smack into it. A few moments later, the car behind us smacks into ours. And so on and so on. We're in the part of Space Mountain where you can see the astronauts working on the space ship and the SM cars are going up the hill climb on either side of you. It's dark and there's quite a bit of noise from the ride mechanics and the environmental sounds. We can't hear if they make any announcements about the ride because of it. We end up sitting there until about 10pm before we see cast members come along the narrow edge between the wall and the cars. They tell us they'll be with us in a moment and head to the first car. One by one, they manually release the doors and we all get out, single-file and walk down the along the inside of the building. We then come out, walk along the track and down a set of stairs. It was our very first emergency evacuation of a ride. By the time we got out, we had missed Wishes. Which is a 15 minute fireworks spectacular set to music. It's awesome. We were kinda bummed because it'd been awhile since we'd seen it (the last two times we went, they had special fireworks, not the normal show) and here it was, Love's birthday too. There's only one showing a night so it wasn't something we could catch later that night. We ended up heading to Guest Services and told them how we were stuck for an hour and missed Wishes. To my {pleasant} surprise, the wonderfully nice cast member there, Jeff, said he'd give us tickets to come back another day whenever we wanted. I stood there with my mouth open going...um...wow...ok...wow! thanks! He helped the other lady enter it all into the computer and handed us two tickets. So now we can go back another day whenever we want for free! I was so excited! (And I was so not expecting that!) Love and I finished up in the park and headed out a little before midnight. (It was closing at 12am that night.) We spent the whole drive home talking about how nice the CM Jeff was and how that's the kind of thing that makes Disney, Disney. They have such amazing customer service and the majority of the CM's there are really nice, friendly, helpful people. It makes such a difference in your experience. Anyway, we had a really nice day. And we're beyond thrilled we get to go back whenever we want as well. So that was my exciting weekend and Love's pretty good birthday adventure. Now it's Monday and I find myself wanting to basically just curl up and go to sleep. I'm still beat. Heh. TTFN.
