There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

Dress Shopping
So we hit David's Bridal today and my sister was really good about asking what the two of us were interested in and what we liked. In the end, we picked up a dress which turned out to be discontinued and marked down to $29.99!! (From $165!) It'll still run me about $70 in alterations but that's going to put it around $100 total instead of $235 like it would have been. It was their favorite and my second favorite. There were a lot that were downright butt ugly. Things that looked ok until you put them on. Bleck! Looks like this though only in this blue: It's got a halter front and a ribbon "belt" that goes around to the back. In the back, it's got a V-inset with a light toupe color on the underside. It's got a light irridecence to it as well. Mine will need to be taken up (obviously) and in around the halter a little but otherwise, it fit well. And the blue color is much prettier then the pink color. (Which was the one we had to try on since it was the only color that had.) The dress isn't exactly useful again unless I went to like the Opera or something really fancy, but it's nice. And my sister's dress has a V-inset on the front, so she thought this would coordinate nicely with that. Plus, there's a broach on the back which will help give a little "bling" since her dress has a lot of pretty beadwork. I've also discovered I need to make a "bridal" section to my site. Jeez! They had these simple (but pretty) Swarovski crystal necklaces at her bridal store that were like $130!! I'm cleraly missing my market. I'm seriously going to get some nice crystal and pearl type beads and work on making some items suitable for bridal. Alright well, I'm working on dinner - I'm starving! - but I thought I'd update with the dress. Worked out well and much faster then any of us thought it would. The dresses will be in around the end of July then we'll go back for fittings and alterations. Plenty of time to get it done before her wedding in October. 'K...Ta for now.
