There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.
*gets off soapbox*

Live From The Temp Job
As previously mentioned, I'm covering for A. today, tomorrow and Friday as she had a death in the family. I'm here at the temp job, nosing around the net and enjoying being able to catch up a bit on things. Darn pc. My friend Rand has an 80gig hard drive he's not using though so when I head home tonight, Love can install it for me. I think I'll put it in as my new primary and then keep my old as a secondary. I'll install all my programs fresh on the new drive and see if that helps the stability issues. Of course, it's still starting from scratch which is about the worst windows punishment there is, but...hopefully, we'll get it back up and running again soon. It's damned frustrating being without it. You don't realize just how much you use it until you can't! In other happy - yes, you read that right, happy - news, I won not one but TWO prize packs from the full moon swap's one year anniversary raffle. Holy cow! I mean, wow! The pretty In Honor of Aphrodite hand decorated box and the handmade cloak and tarot cards in the Cloak and Card Tricks packs. Talk about an amazingly happy surprise. Luck and I just don't agree with each other normally, so this is totally thrilling. Let's see...what else. Love's sick today. Blah. My mom wanted to get together tomorrow but I'm covering here so no go. We need to head back to one of the local shoe stores and find out about getting this pair we saw a few weeks back for my sister's wedding. The color matches absolutely perfect, but they could only get them in my size. The Maid of Honor has wider feet and they didn't make a wide in that color. So, she'll have to find something more special order, but my sister said I should go ahead and get the pair we found since they'll be cheaper and she didn't care enough that our shoes were identical. So long as they match our dresses, it's good enough for her. Anyway, mom's going to try to stop in there tomorrow for me and see if she can get them still. Hope so since they're a nice sandle in general and simple with a nice, low heel. Getting the shoes is important since we still need to hem the dresses and you can't do that until you know the height of your shoe. It's already the end of August and her wedding is October 27th so things need to get going, you know? The alterations take a few weeks generally so no one wants to get caught at the last minute. Of course, I still need to come up with the cash for all this (ouch) but...hopefully, with Halloween coming up, I can get some horn orders going and help pay for it all. I've been really jonesing to make some new jewelry too so hopefully next week I can work on making new items and maybe jump start my sales a little. To say it's been slow right now would be an understatement. I think I've shipped two items in like two months. Ouch. I also said I'd make jewelry for my sister's wedding for the MoH and I and my mom wants a necklace too which I need to make. My mom gave me a little something for hers, but I said I'd make mine and the MoH's for free as a gift to the wedding. I still also need to come up with cash to get my sister a gift as well. I have an idea what I want to get her even though I haven't checked out her registry yet since she mentioned something that'd be good, but it's $100. I know that's not a lot of money to most people, but that's a hell of a lot for me. Anyway, about 20 minutes left in the day. Then homeward bound and hopefully to an evening of fixing my pc. Which, while the actual fixing part isn't fun, the having a pc again will be. Heh. TTFN.
