There are people on the net that
have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other
people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking
about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day
talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for
their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone
to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw
a temper tantrum.
To these people I say
grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the
web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am,
or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my
hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else.
It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and
nasty site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine.
That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like
it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go
somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too
fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone
forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me,
cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for
you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything
stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express
myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it
doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about
it.

Start Of A New Week Bah. I hate when I start a post and it's just a few minutes past midnight. Means it gets date-stamped as the next day and when I write about "today" I mean technically what is now "yesterday" but for me, it's never "tomorrow" until after I go to bed and get up the next day. Oh well. Know that despite the Tuesday timestamp, I refer to Monday as today.
Moving on.
Sunday was my sister's bridal shower. Her Maid of Honor manages a Carrabbas over on my side of town, so we used the restaurant to host the party since they don't open until 4pm. We had sandwiches, chips, veggie tray, shrimp, etc. A mini buffet of items we brought ourselves. Sis got a bunch of nice stuff and cash. I, being ungodly broke and unable to give her so much as $20 since that's about all I have for the entire week, had to be lame and give her a bottle of wine. It was a nice bottle that Love was saving for himself (I don't drink - at all. I just don't like it) and it was a decent bottle, but I still felt damned cheap. I mean people were giving her $50-100 items and here I gave her a $20 bottle of wine. Oh well. Anyway, we also had cake. It was, overall, a nice enough event.
Monday mom and I hung out and went in search of alteration pricing for my bridesmaid dress. David's Bridal wanted $70. First place we went to wanted $95 for the hem and another $35 just to take up the halter neck strap. Yeah, as if.
Second place only wanted $50 for both. Sold! So I'm meeting with the seamstress on Friday for the fitting and she'll have it done in about a week. Score! And, she takes payment upon delivery of the completed item instead of at the time you get it pinned. Super helpful. So that's $20 saved right there. Which is good because I need all the help I can get. (I still have a gift to buy - that's like $60-90 right there - and my hair "updo" cost the day of which is $35 + tip.) This is a lot of extra money this month and it all needs to come out of this one paycheck. I'm not sure how it's going to all come together. I mean, when you basically need over $200 extra bucks...
Money is so critical right now and I'm having a really slow horn season so far. Pass along the link if you can. (You know, horns are great for Conventions as well!) I know I push, but it's out of love. (Ok, that and desperation. This is my only means of trying to provide a little extra income right now and with so many extra expenses this month, we're really stretched past the breaking point, you know?)
