There are people on the net that
have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other
people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking
about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day
talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for
their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone
to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw
a temper tantrum.
To these people I say
grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the
web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am,
or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my
hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else.
It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and
nasty site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine.
That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like
it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go
somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too
fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone
forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me,
cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for
you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything
stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express
myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it
doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about
it.

Christmas Tree! After getting the tree Wednesday night but getting a terrible dizzy spell and thus unable to decorate it, last night, I felt mostly better so we got it done. As always (it's become tradition), we watched "It's a Wonderful Life" while we did the tree. I love that movie.
It's hard for me to get good shots because my camera just can't seem to focus properly no matter what I do. Hopefully these - and the rest in the gallery are passable.
It's always so beautiful to have the tree up. I don't know if I have the right adjective to describe the warm, fuzzy, comforting, magickal feeling that the lights and the ornaments on the tree bring. I can just sit and gaze at it forever.
Jane, Get Me Off This Crazy Thing! We went out tonight and picked up our tree. (Finally!) Brought it home, put it in the stand and ate some dinner. After which, I pretty much immediately got ridiculously dizzy. A total case of fall-down-on-the-floor-when-I-tried-to-stand-up vertigo. Which is totally bizarre for me. My mom and Nanny get vertigo, but it's not something I really have a problem with. So, several hours sitting on the couch, unable to move my head in the slightest, the tree just wasn't getting lit or decorated tonight.
Thankfully, it's feeling slightly better right now. Enough that I've been able to stand up and move from my fixed position on the couch. Think now that I can get up without falling over, I'm going to get some sleep. Didn't get nearly enough last night and I'm eager to try to sleep the remaining vertigo off.
For the record, being painfully dizzy? Sucks. Being painfully dizzy AND unable to decorate your tree because of it? Sucks even more.
Few Holiday Inspired Photos I took a photo I had taken of the beach and printed it as an 8.5" x 11" print. I then found a really neat driftwood inspired frame and a two-tone mat and it came together beautifully. It's going to be my xmas gift to my sister and her husband. She's really into beachy things and it was the theme of her wedding. I'm really proud of how it came out.
And, last but not least, there's definitely still time to get in on any of my custom, hand crafted jewelry for yourself or for gifts in time for the holidays! Don't forget too that there's an entire Holiday Collection including the newest pair of tree earrings:
Couple Reminders Just wanted to remind everybody about two things they should keep an eye one. Number one, everyone needs to join Blingo. If you already joined Blingo, you need to remember to use it. Everyday. Blingo is a spam-free search engine which is powered by google's search engine (so you'll get the same results) BUT you can also win prizes. No really. For free. For doing nothing but searching at the random times they chose a winner.
Blingo gave away 53 prizes yesterday and 1,881 prizes in the past 30 days. MemoryandDream and friends have won 13 prizes: • onthewindowsill won a movie ticket on 9/4/06 • MemoryandDream and Leowyldemi each won a movie ticket on 8/8/06 • MemoryandDream and zurda each won an iTunes gift certificate on 8/1/06 • zurda won an iTunes gift certificate on 3/10/06 • MemoryandDream won a movie ticket on 3/3/06
I've won. I've won more than once. And I can 100% vouch that it's legit. So sign up and search. We could both be winners! (And wouldn't that be nice this holiday season?)
The second is a reminder of a great source for inexpensive gifts. Silver Jewelry Club. Four items are listed at a time. Each item lasts for 15 minutes (or sellout whichever is first.) Each and every item is $5.99 total. That's it. And it's all sterling and gemstone jewelry. I've purchased several items from them in the past and been complimented when I wear it many times. I am especially fond of their rings and earrings, though it's all nice. Think about how cool it would be to spend $5.99 and get someone on your shopping list a piece of gemstone jewelry? They'd never know what a deal you got! If you do shop, I ask you please use my link as I'll get 50 cents for each sale. Doesn't cost you any extra and eventually it can add up.
If you want to bookmark it, this is my link: http://www.silverjewelryclub.com/aff_process.aspx?affid=146
I know a lot of you out there enjoy finding great deals and freebies like I do, so you really can't go wrong with Blingo or silver jewelry club!
The Occasional Bat I love this! How more perfect can you get then an online, all-handmade store that sells only cute little bats? I'm totally in love with The Occasional Bat!
While I'm drooling over all of them, the snowman bat must be mine! They do free shipping and right now, for December, if you buy a regular bat, they'll send you a pet toy (in my case, a kitty one) free.
