There are people on the net that
have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other
people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking
about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day
talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for
their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone
to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw
a temper tantrum.
To these people I say
grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the
web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am,
or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my
hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else.
It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and
nasty site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine.
That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like
it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go
somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too
fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone
forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me,

Treasure From Down Under So, Kenno posts a picture of some lovely Paua shells in his journal last month. I complimented him on how pretty they were. And before I knew it, I got an email promising to send some my way. OooOOOh, shinnies? For me?
So I warned my mom that a box from New Zealand would be making it's way to the post office box. (Technically, it's hers and it's up by her house and I just mooch off it because I don't really need one of my own, but it's convenient to have access to one sometimes.) Anyway...she called me last week and told me that I had in fact, received a package. But she was going to wait to see me to give it to me in person. Oh the anticipation!
Well, I finally got it and wow. So very pretty! Paua, if you don't know, is a type of abalone shell that's only found in NZ. And it's loverly.
Thank you so much for the pretties! Next time I get down towards a beach, I promise I'll scrounge for some Florida ones to send in return. Though, I can tell you they won't be anywhere near as pretty. Twenty-one years ago when we moved here, shells were plentiful and gorgeous. Now? Little to nothing of value to be found. You buy your shells for $2 a small bag in the Wal-Mart craft isles. Still though, there must be something of interest I can find. I'm just going to wait until the weather warms up a smidge. (We had our very first freeze/frost warning of the season last night!)
