There are people on
the net that
have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty
to other
people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a
day talking
about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend
hours a day
talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and
posters for
their opinions and their right to free speech. They
expect everyone
to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or
else they throw
a temper tantrum.
To these people I say
grow up.
Here's a bit of info
people...the
web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here,
or who I am,
or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or
the color of my
hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go
somewhere else.
It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the
little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending,
big, mean and
nasty site has disappeared.
I pay for this site.
It's mine.
That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want
to. Don't like
it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh
fucking well. Go
somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my
thoughts? Too
fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line,
someone
forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't
like me,
cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal
is NOT for
you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame
or anything
stupid like that. I write it because I need to write
and express
myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read
or don't, it
doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours)
bitching about
it.

An Attempted "Real" Entry It's late. Almost 1am and Love's sleeping behind me. I'm typing in the dark but I wanted to try to put together at least a brief real entry since I haven't done one in awhile now.
Cold - I'm happy to report Love was better last week though I of course got sick and was miserable all last week and weekend. I'm doing better now. There's a little lingering cough but it's just to clear out whatever is left from the cold. I sound pretty much normal again and feel better too. However, yesterday....
Random, Freakish Headache/Stomachache I woke up feeling better from my cold but my head felt all wonky. Thought I might be getting a migraine so I ate a banana and took some Excedrin. Things got worse from there. My head got even weirder - visual distortions like I get pre-migraine attack, dizzy, sick, nauseous, stomach upset, "wrongness," queasy, disoriented, general feelings of doom. After acquainting myself with my master bathroom for a few hours, I just felt worse and worse. I tried some Immodium and Pepto but by 7pm, I threw up. (Something I almost never do.) I gave up on dinner and ate some plain saltine crackers and drank some peppermint tea. It felt like food poisoning and something else that I don't have a name for with my head all rolled into one. I was so sick. Thing is, nothing I ate was bad and I have no idea what prompted the hellish experience.
Better Tuesday Thankfully, I felt better when I got up Tuesday. I was so terrified it was going to come back and I felt like 98% normal - just enough to know I was absurdly ill the day before and really fear that it wasn't full done. But I did get some stuff done today....
Ebay and You - My friend Rand has tons of stuff he wants to sell on ebay. Clean out the damned closets. So I'm helping him out to get it all sorted and listed since he doesn't have time to manage the auctions. Tonight I spent about 1.5 hours sorting out Magic: The Gathering cards. Specifically all angels and angelic cards into three lots. Tomorrow, they go up on ebay. He has about 30,000 more cards going up in lots too, so if you know someone who wants to get in on awesome deals, quantities and vintage cards, keep an eye here or drop me a line.
Love's Gallery Show I'm so stressing it. And I know he is stressing it more than I am. It's getting closer. We still need eight frames (which represents about $75 more in cost) and looks like we'll be footing more of the food budget bill than expected. (Originally, they were going to shell out $75 but now only $40. Gee, thanks.) It's his first opening though so he's really excited about it. If you haven't looked yet, feel free to peek at his site - FoxPawPrints.com - for some [poor quality scan] samples of his work and details on the opening. (He DOES take commissions you know, so if anyone wants an original drawing of a kid, a pet, a new baby, a couple, a wedding, etc. let me know!)
Microwave Go Boom So in other, less fun news, my microwave died about two weeks ago. Well, technically, you can still turn it on but it makes this ubber scary noise and I'm afraid it's going to blow up. Life without a microwave sucks amazing ass. It's rent paycheck though which means no cash for a new one. We've got another few weeks before we might maybe be able to scrounge for one. Totally blows. Major, hardcore suckage. My kingdom for a microwave!
Kitties & Pet Food Recall I can't tell you how disgusted I am about this whole fiasco. I'm sure most of you feel the same. Since I've heard a lot of people looking for better options, I'm going to throw out two suggestions. It's what I feed my own girls and both are entirely safe and NOT involved in ANY WAY with the recall. Both are organic, holistic, human-grade food companies with a much stronger ethic than the literal garbage you find on your supermarket shelf. Now's the perfect time to re-think your pet's diet and stop feeding them what is the equivalent of McDonald's every day. Those commercials about the quality of the supermarket brands are bull and it's worth looking into safer, better, more nutritious and truly healthy foods. * Blue Buffalo * Wellness
My girls mean the world to me and I spent a lot of time researching food and food ingredients. I didn't know how bad things were in the mass-market stuff until I really sat down and looked. I'm so thankful that my girls are fine and my thoughts are with all those pet parents who are suffering through this terrible tragedy.
PhoenixFire Designs I've FINALLY got some updates to the site. The new items should be live tomorrow, so check back as I post some teasers of new necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Yeah! Hopefully, I can drum up some sales. Guess it's a slow time of year but with the nuker on the fritz, I could really use some orders!
That's All Folks Ok, so I think I covered the gist of the topics I wanted to catch-up on. If I missed something, hell, there's always tomorrow. (Or, next week the way I've been going lately. Heh.) I think it's time to call it a night for me.
