Reminder...

There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.

To these people I say
grow up
.

Here's a bit of info people...the web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty site has disappeared.

I pay for this site. It's mine. That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

*gets off soapbox*

Halloween Weekend Recap
Halloween was on a Saturday this year so I actually had the day off. I worked Friday before Halloween until 7pm and wore a pair of my horns. People kept doing a double-take and laughing.

Saturday I woke up exhausted but finally made it over to our friend Rand's house around 4pm. Since we're in an apartment, no one does trick-or-treating here and we always go over to his house so I can hand out candy.

Got out the pumpkins from previous years and added to it with three more. (We use the fake ones now since we all spend so much time carving them, it's a shame to throw them away in a few days. So now we save them and are up to 11 pumpkins for the display. It's our very own pumpkin patch!)

Here's the outside decorations. Couple tombstones, webbing, candles in the window and of course, pumpkins!

And here's the collection of all the carved pumpkins we have so far:

I dressed up of course - in my old enchantress outfit since I didn't have cash to find something new this year - and had fun handing out treats. The kids came in HUGE clumps though this year so I didn't really get time to look at everyone's costumes very well. There were a lot of fairies and Disney princesses (I joked the Disney Store must have had a great sale) but most were just random, one-off costumes. We had two little kids try to come into the house this year the first of whom actually broke down crying when her mom picked her up and carried her away. It was funny. We also had two younger girls in wheelchairs which I hadn't seen come to the door in previous years. One of whom put these GIANT fairy wings on the back of her chair. I thought that was cute.

We ran out of candy on the last surge of kids around 9pm. I hadn't seen any for about a half an hour and was getting ready to pack it up when three big groups came by last minute and finished off the candy. I think Rand had maybe 8 bags of candy bars and we went through them all. (Twix, 100 Grand, Snickers, and Heath.)

Sunday morning it was back to work at 8:30am for me. I thought the extra hour of sleep might help but I was still really miserably tired Sunday. Just felt awful and worn out. Had a pretty busy day though so it went relatively quickly. Got home, napped and then ran out later that afternoon for some food.

Today thankfully I'm off work so I have a few things to do and just catch up on stuff that I didn't get to last week working all those days in a row. Went to bed really early last night so hopefully I can stave off the tiredness and actually get things done.

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween.
