Normally Mondays are the day no one likes. But today, I hung out with my Mom so it was a good day. We went to the mall and shopped and browsed and tried things on and just generally had a nice time. Found a pair of capris and a pair of shorts on clearance and was able to use my $25 Macy’s giftcard to pay for them both so that was good. Couldn’t find a simple ribbed or cable-knit sweater to save my life which was absurd, but, still nice day overall.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow on the other hand, I have to meet with my ex-boss to pick up my stuff from my desk. I had a lot of items and I’m unwilling to just leave them there but man I do not want to deal with it. I head in at 1pm. I don’t know what’s worse; if I have to go and pack up my own stuff while everyone is watching, or if they hand it to me already packed and then I have to go through it and hope it’s all there. <\/p>\n

In other news, Love went back to work today. First time after Thursday’s surgery to remove the four limopmas from his upper legs. He’s still sore and the incisions are larger then the ones I had for my hysterectomy, but then, his wasn’t laparoscopic. Just a slice, cut out and stitch up. Hurts though and he’s a little slow getting around. But the new steri-strips are holding (the other ones came off completely with the bandage this weekend) so that’s good.<\/p>\n

I’ve been stupidly sore and achy lately because of having to do everything while he’s recovering. (Including helping him up and down too which is a lot of pulling.) Been having to take my ibuprofen again several times a day to help take the edge off. I may be off restrictions but I definitely don’t have my strength or stamina back yet, not by a long shot. So I’m just beyond beat.<\/p>\n

Anyway, just dreading tomorrow. But I want it over and done with sooner rather than later so I don’t ever have to deal with these people again. I mean it takes a special kind of asshole to disallow you to work then fire you because you were out too long. After tomorrow, the good news is that I’ll never have to deal with them again. On to bigger and better things (hopefully!)<\/p>\n
