So, even though the debt started as $1,200 and it’s down to $930 and I’ve been paying every month, apparently the “fact” that so long as you pay they can’t send you to collections is an urban myth. Every single person I’ve ever talked to both in person and online said just pay it each month a little at a time but that doesn’t work.<\/p>\n

Fucking wonderful. Clearly, I don’t have $930 to pay them off. I worked so fucking hard to get my credit back to something above worst in the world and now, despite the fact I’m actively paying it each month, too damned bad. I ran the numbers and the absolute most I can get back on income tax return is like $400. So I can’t even use that to pay my bill off. And of course, this is only ONE of like 12 fucking bills I pay every month so if one is heading into collection, I’m guessing the rest will soon too.<\/p>\n
