What happens when you take an adorable but hyper little cat, a dark room, a solid wood pointy corner and me? A massive<\/em>, painful bruise.<\/p>\n

Sunday-into-Monday late night about 2am or so, I’m getting ready for bed. Love, of course, is already long since in bed and sleeping so the master bedroom is fully dark. I drop off my phone next to my side of the bed like I always do and head back towards the bathroom. Well, Gracie is a spaz and she goes darting out in front of me and I stumble and bash my left upper thigh directly into the corner of the bed.<\/p>\n

Take a cat….

(As an aside, it turns out to be very difficult to photograph one’s own outer, upper thigh. And even more so that a bruise shows up on “film” as dark and ugly as it looks in person. I wish it looked as good as this in real life because in person, it’s shocking.)<\/small><\/p>\n

All day yesterday, my leg was swollen in the bruised area. And even today, my whole leg just aches. Normally, a bruise hurts a lot when you touch it of course, but this hurts constantly and touching it is unbearable. It is so miserable. I cannot wait until the muscle stops being so sore because man, it is not fun.<\/p>\n
