Good news is that we got Love’s car fixed Friday. We’re back to a two car household and the horrible, destructive whine of the compressor grinding itself to bits is no more.<\/p>\n

The bad news is that it cost more then we planned: $789.54<\/p>\n

I had been planning on $700 so the extra hundred hurts. A lot. We’re going to need to figure out how to drum up some fundage to make up for that unexpected extra.<\/p>\n

So then, just to rub money in my face, I get this in the mail Thursday:

PCIP Premium Past Due Notice Letter<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n

I had to make the decision at the end of July to let my PCIP insurance lapse, even though I didn’t want to because I was behind on payments. I didn’t pay August and I assumed by now that I had long since been cancelled. I figured I would reapply in February when the mandatory 6 month waiting period to reapply would expire.<\/p>\n

But then I get this. And of course I don’t have $711 – especially not after spending nearly $800 Friday – but it’s still like a tease. You can have insurance right now again with no interruption!<\/i> Yeah, as if. Not to mention, I’ve already met my deductible for this year too and it’d be nice to take advantage of that.<\/p>\n

I actually really liked having insurance and I miss it. It’s scary being back without it again. So I feel taunted by it being close…and yet totally and completely out of reach yet again.<\/p>\n

Anyway, just kinda one of those frustrating things where you think you’re doing pretty darn good, then you realize how easily things get all screwed up again because of money. Blarg.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
