She’s healthy. Her kidneys are equal in size and normal. Her bladder is normal. The lining of her bladder is normal. (Not inflamed at all.) There are no stones. Her bloodwork, urinalysis, x-rays and sonogram were all normal. She’s perfectly fine.

He thinks, at this point, it’s psychological. I asked if this could have started with a legitimate UTI and then she just got all stressed out and worked up over it and it became a problem and he said that’s definitely possible. She’s been a lot better since she’s been on the Xanax – back to normal litter box wise. He wants me to half her dosage and finish out the next few days she’s got left of the script and see how she’s doing. If need be, we can always extend the medication.

But, she’s fine.

It’s a relief to be sure but jeez…did I have to spend a thousand dollars to figure that out? Oy! Still, it’s good she’s healthy because it means there’s nothing further to do; no more tests to run and thank goodness, no surgery or anything like that! I’m supposed to keep him updated and call if there are any changes. Beyond that…she’s good.

Thank you to everyone for their support, concern, prayers, good energy, positive thoughts, etc. Seriously, it’s meant so much to me. Now I just need to start paying off the debt it took to find out she’s ok. Anyone want to buy some jewelry?

edit: Here’s a pic of the Little Cat with a bow on her head Christmas morning.
