I’m so beat. It’s been a very action-packed weekend. And not all in a good way.
Friday I woke up with a horrible migraine. I felt so sick; very dizzy, nauseous and in a lot of pain. I was also having a lot of visual distortions. I got took a couple Excedrin (only med I can since I don’t have insurance), got ready and went to work. Felt so awful though. Tried to do a call, couldn’t even talk straight. I just kept screwing up and losing my place and just couldn’t get through the script I know in my sleep. Plus the pain was getting worse and it got so bad I just started crying uncontrollably.
My boss wasn’t at his desk so I told one of the ladies who’s kinda second-in-command that I was so sorry but I needed to go home. I was feeling worse, not better. She was worried about me driving home but I just needed to lay down and I’m so close and while I don’t like driving that impaired, I didn’t have a choice.
I was at work for an hour. 🙁
Spent the rest of Friday being sick, trying to sleep and just being pretty miserable. Migraine finally broke about 8 or 9pm but left me with an awful migraine hangover.
We had plans for weeks to do Disney with Love’s brother the following day, Saturday the 28th so we walked all over Epcot and Magic Kingdom yesterday. I was really worn out from the migraine the day before and by about 8pm was just so exhausted I couldn’t even stand anymore. Love called it and said we needed to just go home. It was raining and had been for a few hours anyway as well.
Got home, showered and went to bed but had to get up Sunday morning to get ready to head to Mom’s house. We were having a party for Nanny’s 94th birthday. While we were there, we also were going to drop the car off at the place the fixed the a/c (the right way) because we’re hearing this squeak when we idle. It’s right up by Mom’s so this way we could get both done at the same time.
Turns out it’s another $200 repair. *sigh* The tension pulley is busted. (Not to be confused with the “idler puller” we also already replaced in June.) Joy. You know, we’re already out $4,000 in repairs thus far so it’s been….fun. I haven’t even made $4k for the year at my part-time job so far to put how much money this is into perspective!
Anyway, had a nice lunch with the family, soured by bad news. And I’m just so physically wiped out. Sucks the weekend is over already; I’m so not looking forward to going into work tomorrow. Especially since taking a day of and/or having to go home sick is pretty much a huge risk I’ll be fired. Stress is so much fun.
Going to go watch some tv and veg a bit. Hope one of these weeks gets better one of these days soon.
Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling well again. I had the beginnings of a migraine as I drove home from work on Wednesday, but it never appeared. However, I’ve been so tired since Thursday that I’ve been having to have a little sleep in the afternoons. I’m really tired now (it’s a Bank Holiday here, so no work, plus I’d booked last Thursday/Friday off). I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I could do with another few days off work to combat the tiredness!
I hope you feel better soon. You certainly deserve a break. Take care.
