Saturday we were thinking about heading over to Disney for the day but when we got up, Love hadn’t really slept well and was pretty tired. So we just stayed around locally and did some errand running instead. Nothing terribly interesting or exciting to report there.
Today, we had a birthday party to go to. One of Love’s friends at work is Steve. Steve’s girlfriend has a little daughter who’s turning 3. They were having a party out at this U-Pick family farm in Brooksville. It was all little kids but it was cute. If I were a little kid, I would love that as a birthday party. They had a tracker-drawn hay-ride around the property (which we rode. Hey, why not?), a small chicken coop, two little piglets, a baby cow, a pumpkin patch – where we got the BEST, most HUGE pumpkin for only $15! – and other little activity areas. It was cute. Unfortunately, I totally forgot my real camera, so I only had my cell phone to take a couple quick pics.
Apparently, in the Spring, they have a Sunflower maze. Few were leftover around the edges of the field.
They had a whole row of scarecrows. I liked this one the best since he was doing a handstand!
They had hay barrels set up like a tractor. It was cute.
I’m most impressed though by the pumpkin we got though! It’s so big and impressive. I’ll have to take a pic of that to show it off later.
All-in-all, it was a cute day. Not really exciting but something different. And the kids all clearly had a ton of fun running around the fields and playing with all the interactive areas. 🙂
