Today is my last day at work this week. I already have off on Wednesdays and the office is closed on Friday for Christmas, so I put in a request for Thursday off as well. Seemed silly to come in for one day, plus, there's always a lot of last-minute stuff that needs done right before the holidays, and this will give me time to get them done. (Stuff like finishing up packing items for Holiday Wishes; wrapping gifts; baking cookies, etc.)
So because I know I'm only three hours away from five days of freedom, I SO don't want to be here! *laughs* I'm already daydreaming my time off in my head. Plus, I'm trying to think about all the things that need doing over the next few days and I'm eager to get going on those kinds of things rather than my boring job. Heh.
Tomorrow, we're heading over to Disney. We didn't get a chance to go on the 11th because of Gracie's emergency vet issues, and then last Saturday, the 18th, it was pouring all day. (Who wants to be drenched and cold at a theme park all day?) So instead, we'll go tomorrow and finally get to see all the decorations, lights, and the holiday fireworks show. Plus, it's just nice for Love and I to get our little personal holiday day together before all the rush with heading to both our families on Christmas.
Last night, I set my cell phone alarm for 3am and went outside in the freezing cold (ok, not technically freezing but it was like 42F/5C and it felt frigid!) to check out the totality of the Solstice Lunar Eclipse. Turns out I wasn't the only crazy person out there in my PJ's and coat. Two of my neighbors were out too! I couldn't believe it. I laughed with them that I'm normally the only one nuts enough to do something like that. Love was snoring away in bed. I tried taking a few pics with my camera but of course, it's just a 3x zoom point-and-shoot so it's not really designed for that kind of thing. (Oh, my kingdom for a DSLR!) I'll see if any came out and post if they did later.
Alright well I've had this open for over an hour now so I guess I should just hit post. Started this at like 1:30pm and now it's almost 2:30pm which means two hours left to go! Can't wait.
Ta for now!

Boy and I watched it on the rooftop of his work. It was soooo cool! And honestly – even better for the cold weather. 🙂
Good luck and good wishes to the kitty!
