I guess that’s your version of our Freeview? Not that I can get Two & A Half Men on Freeview, but we get free channels anyway.
A couple years ago, the over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts went digital. When that happened, you got much better quality channels (HDTV sometimes even) but you need a special converter box and antenna. Our TV is new enough to have the converter built in but without an antenna we picked up nothing. So we bought an antenna and now get all the major networks and some other random ones but no “cable” channels. For those, well, you need cable!
