Jeez, the maintenance guy just left after 45 minutes again. I had to call the office because it was 80F (27C) in here and the a/c wouldn’t turn on no matter what I set it on. So he came out, took the whole wall unit apart and changed a capacitor. It’s running again but now it has to cool back down from it being somewhere over 85F (29C) in here. I say “somewhere over” because the stupid little analog dial only goes to 85 and it’s as far over as it can go.
Not only does it suck when it gets obscenely hot in here like this because hot is just miserable in general and I’m subject to hot flashes (though the little computer USB fan works really well and is the only thing keeping me sane), paying for all this electricity to cool it back down and run the unit for the next hour or so non-stop is not exactly cheap.
The bill due this month (June’s usage) is $175 already and July will be worse. Which is awesome when you’re down an income. It’s easier to maintain a temperature then have these crazy fluctuations. It feels-like 98F (38C) outside today so cooling an apartment down when faced with that level of heat is very expensive!
Moo…grr…arg…just
