Let’s Get [A] Physical, Physical…

Ha! I slay me. /80’s humor

I had my physical this morning. 8:45am. Early morning is early. When the alarm went off at 7:40am, I thought very unkind things toward it.

First they took my vitals. (BP 120/85) Next, three vials of blood. (Ouch!) Then, they had me do the obligatory pee-in-a-cup. Then I had my first ever EKG. And finally, a basic checkup by the PA. (Look in my ears, listen my lungs and heart, etc.) I go back in two weeks to go over the results and get my bloodwork back.

All was well, except…WARNING! MAY BE TMI there was blood in my urine. She asked if I was on my period. I’m not of course because of the Lupron. My last cycle was back in the beginning of June then the Lupron basically shut me down and put me in medical menopause. I’m a little worried about that just because it shows up in the potential serious side effects category of Lupron and falls under the “notify your doctor” warning. So I just tried to call my OB/GYN but they’re at lunch so I’ll call back as soon as I’m done with the entry.

I did notice the urine was dark this morning when I did the test but I assumed it was just because I had to fast from 9pm onwards last night and it was just concentrated and I was a little dehydrated. But if it’s blood…hrm. That worries me a little. I’ll update if I hear anything from them on it. END TMI TALK

After the doctor, it was like 9:30am and I wound up running to over the mall to look for some Cucumber Melon body spray for my Mom (belated birthday gift since she was away in NY for her birthday) but turns out they discontinued it. Boo. Found some stock left online though so ordered that instead. (Buy 2, get 1 free plus a free item coupon helped ease the $6.99 shipping sting.) Also drooled window shopped at the Fossil store, Godiva, Sephora and splurged on a couple paperbacks 50% off at the Waldenbooks. I’m sad to see Borders go out of business. All of the actual Borders stores around here closed in the last round so this little Waldenbooks was the only holdout in the area.

For the record, the mall is DEAD at 10am on a Thursday morning. LOL Felt really weird being there, especially since I’m NOT a morning person and I’m also not that dedicated of a shopper, I get to the mall first thing in the morning.

Anyway, that’s my day. Felt like I’ve done so much today and it’s only 1:30pm! Guess that’s what happens when you get up before 10 or 10:30am!
