Reminder...

There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.

To these people I say grow up.

Here's a bit of info people...the web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty site has disappeared.

I pay for this site. It's mine. That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

*gets off soapbox*

Tooth Drive: I raised $550 of $850 I need for my dental work when the other shoe dropped. One of my teeth now needs a critical root canal - over $2,000 in costs. There's no way I can come up with this on my own in the next 2-3 months. So I need your help. Please consider using one of my links below. Pass my jewelry link along to others. Help spread the word. If I were able to get $10 from 200 people, I would be there. I don't think it's that much or that hard. But I need help. Thank you.

Holiday Wreaths
Last year I made my first wreaths for myself, my mom and Love's mom. I used branches left over from the tree cuttings and got some accents and went to town. They were well received. So this year of course, I wanted to make a new one for my door. Then my friend Rand wanted me to make one for his door. And since I had enough materials left over, I made one for my mom also and I'll surprise her with it tomorrow. (Cookie day! We're making cookies!) Love says they're really great. And I think this year I did so much better then last year's. He says next year I should try to sell some. I don't know if there's a lot of market for that kind of thing but I definitely think they're pretty darn good. (If I do say so myself.) So anyway, I put the three up on a page so you can see them.

This one is mine hanging on my door, but click here to see larger images of all three I've made so far this year.

They're unfortuantely hard to photograph. I bet if I used more natural light you could see them better but, I ended up taking all three at night. Heh. The fraser fir also has a lot of reflective properties to it so it makes a mess of the flash. Oh well, still, I think you get the idea.

I still need to get some photos of our tree. It's so pretty. I'll work on that later and post some images of that too. All photos are always listed on the photo page so you can easily find groups of images over the last few years.

Tomorrow, like I said, my mom's coming over and we're making cookies. My favorite - the "tea biscuit" ones - are totally thanks to Rachel who found the filling for me and her husband for playing courier and delivering them. (Unfortunately, the filling is not sold here anywhere. Normally my Nanny goes up north and gets some during the summer. This year she didn't go up north. So dear Rachel was kind enough to scout Chicago for me and as luck would have it, her husband had a business trip here and brought them with him. It's thanks to them I can make my cookies again this year!) We're also going to make some standard sugar cookies. It should be fun.

Alright, out for now.
