There are people on the net that have nothing better to do
with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

New Horns! Before I list them on ebay, I've got a couple one-of-a-kind pairs I made last night that I'm offering up here first. These are brand new and color combinations I haven't made before.
SOLD! Black and Red Twisted Devil Horns. These are cooool. The red has a metallic to it so it leaves a neat sparkle to the swirls.
Pearl White and Metallic Red Twisted Devil Horns. These are also cool. It's a cross between the look of blood mixed in or maybe viens and a candy-cane type swirl. They also have a real pearlescence to them.
Photography Update On Wednesday I hung out with my friend Rand and we hit a few local park type areas to take some photos. I ended up taking something like 230 of them (gotta love digital cameras!) but while I liked quite a few, I narrowed down sixteen and put them up in a new gallery. Since they're all nature shots, I made the image sizes much larger then normal to help preserve the detail on the images. They're four to a page and some are kinda hefty file size. Much more then I'd normally post but compression is a bitch and I was trying not to ruin the look of them too much.
The larger sized galleries for this set are found here. And, as always, you can find a listing of all of my photo galleries from the past four years here.
There's a few more that I liked of the set I took. I may revisit the ones I didn't use - a lot more of trees like some large southern oaks and such - to see if I want to add to the gallery or not. If I do, I'll update to let you know.
Also, since I've had some requests now-and-then, yes, I am happy to sell prints (for personal use like framing) of my photos in 4x6 /or/ 5x7 /or/ 8x10. While I'd love to do larger, I lack the megapixels. Something I hope to rectify one of these days. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. (webmaster[at]giveneyestosee.com)
Various Updates Yesterday was hell as far as my mouth was concerned. Ugh. No matter what I took, it didn't help. I couldn't even open my mouth it hurt so bad.
Today it's been a little better and I managed to actually eat - some mac'n'cheese - which tasted like the best thing ever since yesterday I could barely manage liquids and didn't eat anything solid all day. It's still quite a bit sore though. Tender and feeling bruised. I just want it to be done. Especially since I have another one to look forward to next week on Thursday. (And of course, three more after that, though I don't have the money for those three yet.)
For those of you who are fans of Silver Jewelry Club, keep an eye out for items you like this month. Because every purchase this month gets an entry for a $8,400 1ct. diamond solitare ring. Please use my link if you do shop with them since it gives me 50 cents - money that's helped my tooth fund. (Which has about $250 more to go to pay for all of the work needed.) Also, please if you bookmark it (rather then click my link) bookmark the full link: http://www.silverjewelryclub.com/affiliate_process.asp?affid=146 ...because it's the only way it counts. When you click it, it changes the link to say 146 at the end but I don't get the credit unless it came from the full link in the first place. Found that out the hard way. A bunch of people made purchases and I didn't get any of the credit because they had bookmarked the link it redirects you to, not the one that counts. :(
It was a crazy windy day today. Gusts upwards of 32mph all day. And the rain came down in sheets for about 20 minutes then was gone. But man...it was intense while it lasted. The wind though has been nice. Helps keep the heat down. Our actual highs are staying just shy of 90F, but our feels-like has still been up in the mid-90's so 30-odd mile per hour winds really helps.
Oh and I've had a lot of interest in my horns...but no one's actually sent in their order yet! Come on guys, don't flood me all at once. Heh. I know what happens because it happens every year. Towards the end of the month, everyone panics and puts in their order and I work like a mad-woman trying to get everyone's orders in and shipped on time for Halloween delivery. Help me out here, and get yourself your pair early.
Alright, well I had less to say then I thought I did, so I'm closing out for now. Damned lame-ass baseball is pre-empting House all freakin' month, so there's nothing to watch on tv. Though hockey starts (finally!) again tomorrow after a year off, so I'll be looking forward to that.
Thanks for everyone's well-wishings with my mouth. It hurts but it's getting better. It's still a long road ahead and a lot of damned money still but hopefully one of these days it will all be done.
Two Down; Four to Go Well, I'm back. And swollen and sore but two of the six are done. Took about a half-hour total for the actual fillings to finish but over an hour total when you include waiting on the novocaine and such. As always, the novocaine made me all uncontrollably shaky (apparently an uncommon but well-known side effect in some people) which I hate but thankfully, as always, it still did the trick.
My furthest back two teeth on the bottom left are now done. I have one on top left, two on bottom right and one on top right left. Next week (13th) they've got me in to finish the left side and do the one on the top.
They don't do amalgam fillings there which is good because I don't like them. And I have some serious concerns on the mercury within them and evidence that shows problems with it leading to mercury posioning. So I have two white composite fillings and you can't even see them. You wouldn't have any clue that I had fillings in there. That's a really nice thing. Especially since I'm getting six done total in my mouth, I won't end up full of silver. When it's all done, I'll only have one silver one left from years ago so that's not too bad.
Getting the composite ones was different then getting the amalgam ones. There was less uber-stench chemical that I remember made me uncontrollably retch the last time I had a cavity filled. The worst smell was of course the burning from the drill. Gods, can it be any more horrifying a combination? That noise with the smell of your own teeth turning into dust right under you nose?
*shudders*
Apparently, they'll be a little cold sensitive for awhile. The cavities were very deep so there will be some pain and sensitivity until it heals up. They're all really bad which is why I need to do them in stages. That and I can't afford to do all of it yet. I'm $240 shy of getting all of them done. Seeing as it took me over six months to get the $500-odd I have, this will probably [sadly] stretch on until next year. Today was $292 for the two of them. Next week's is $160ish on it's own because it's a harder one and larger. Then I have another $125ish one and the other two which is the same as today. Ugh.
So...my jaw is sore. Slightly puffy and swollen. The novocaine is starting to wear off (hey, is that the other half of my tongue?) and there's a lot of "pressure" feeling in my mouth. I already took some advil in hopes of blunting the transition away from the novocaine. Today's a soft-food dinner - maybe some soup or some Cream of Wheat or something - to help lessen the ouch factor.
Anyway, two down. I'm going to go curl up on the couch for a bit now. I feel like I need it. Heh.
