Well, the good news is that yesterday, we finally made it Disney. We tried last weekend of course, but wound up stuck on the side of I-4 and had to get towed back. ($264 in repairs too.) The bad news is that I woke up with a bad sore throat, we got off to a late start and shortly into arriving, I realized I was getting sick. So we didn’t stay very long. It was also MASSIVELY crowded.
We got to the Magic Kingdom about 3pm or so. And we left probably around 8pm. Didn’t really ride much because of the crowds, but we enjoyed the decorations, saw part of the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade, watched the Castle lighting ceremony and generally just enjoyed being out of the house. We didn’t stay to watch the fireworks (10pm) because by the evening, I was really getting sick and really tired so we’re planning on heading back and doing more of the holiday stuff another day. It was also just too crowded yesterday to really easily get around. The nice thing about having your passes is that you don’t really have to be there from open-to-close and if you don’t do something one day, no biggie.
Here’s some pics I took. Click any for larger.

Toy Soldier decoration on Main Street as part of the holiday decorations.
The weather was overcast but the temperature was cool and it was breezy. Very comfortable to walk around. Nice change for us to be outside and not sweltering.
Unfortunately, today I’m even sicker and my nose is just running like mad. My throat feels like it’s coated in thick sandpaper. So I’m pretty much out of it today and going to plant myself on the couch and stay there. Send good thoughts I get over this soon. 😉
Sounds like you had a good day, despite not feeling too well.
I hope you’re feeling better already 🙂
