It’s been absolutely pouring here since yesterday. Non-stop. It’s raining sideways out there. All because of Tropical Storm Debby. Even though it’s on it’s way towards New Orleans, the way hurricanes and tropical storms spin, the back end is lashing the entire state of Florida, just drenching us. High winds, surf advisories, tornado warnings, flood warnings – you name it, we’re under it.
Other than that, we’ve been frantically cleaning the apartment for the past two days in advance of tomorrow’s interview with CNN. Today, it’s kitchen day. The living room looks awesome though so if nothing else, that’s a nice benefit of the whole thing!
Just wanted to check in since the weather is crazy out there. More probably tomorrow after he leaves. Wish me luck!

We’re having a lot more rain than usually this summer too. The news and weather forecasts constantly seem to be full of flood warnings at the moment.
All the rain we’ve been having is good since we’ve been in very severe drought conditions all over Florida, so at least we’re getting some water back. Problems with a storm like today is the ground can’t absorb it all so we get flooding. 🙁
