Saturday was the Autumn Equinox; the first day of Autumn and one of two days a year where the length of night and day are equal. It also had a gorgeous sunset here in Florida.
And Sunday, I finally was able to do something I’ve never done before; get a decent shot of the moon. With point-and-shoot cameras and tiny 3x zoom lenses and such, you just can’t get a decent shot of the moon. I am impatient for Friday’s Full Moon, so tonight I took some of the waxing moon.
Both shots are unretouched; original color in both. I only resized the sunset and cropped the moon. Both shots were taken from the breezeway in my apartment building so not fancy surroundings or anything but I thought they both looked nice and wanted to share.
