Playing catch-up in photos…
I managed to get the village up around the tree the night before my craft market but I still haven’t gotten my monorail up yet:
Of course, you know what that means. Tree + village = Gracie!
The craft market went great. Not only did I have a pleasant amount of sales, but I had a ton of great feedback, learned a lot, and really felt confident enough to pursue other shows in the future. It was excellent learning experience and a nice ego boost too, getting so many positive comments. I felt good about my table, I felt comfortable talking to people and I sold things. All win-win.
And just to round out the randomness of this entry, it was CRAZY foggy last night. I snagged a couple shots. Besides resizing and watermarking, these are totally untouched. The lights on the buildings gave such a strange color and aura because of the fog.
I got home from the show exhausted and tried to take it easy on Sunday. Today I got right back in it because while I was off selling things at the show, I was ALSO selling things in the shop! I had 29 outstanding orders as of Sunday night. I shipped out about 15 today and have another 20 as of right now! It’s been crazy busy.
I’ve been working all evening on the next batch and another lot will ship tomorrow. I also wound up ordering more bubble envelopes, more organza bags and I’m out of several components for popular pieces, so those are on rush order too. It’s nuts but it’s awesome and secretly kinda fun to get such a mad rush of orders. It definitely makes me feel validated. ๐
Today, I also ran out and bought some gifts for a 6 year old boy. Love and I saw a tree with tags on it at 7-11 Sunday. Each tag is a kid and each kid listed 5 or 6 things they’d like. We picked a six year old boy named Steven and today I bought him a massive Lego set and an RC car. (Both items from his list.) I wrapped them up and we’ll drop them off tomorrow.
I’ve had a good few months sales-wise and I had a lot of support this past year so it felt nice to be in a position to do a little something for a kid this holiday. Regardless of whatever else is going on in a kid’s life, they should get some presents at Christmas, you know?
Anyway, it’s late so I’m going to close up here. But just wanted to give a quickie update on what’s been going on around here while I had a moment!
I absolutely love your Christmas tree and it’s little village living beneath it! ๐
Well done on the craft market, it’s great when things like that go well.
I’m sure Steven will love his presents and will be very grateful to you ๐
