Christmas Tree
I finally had a chance to decorate my Christmas tree last night! I haven’t finished the village and monorail yet but at the very least, lights and ornaments are up! I took some pics last night of it and thought I’d share.

I love this ornament because it was always my favorite to put on Nanny’s tree when I would help her decorate. Awhile back, she gave it to me so I always love having it on my own tree because it reminds me of being a kid. (Click for larger view.)

Yay!! I finally have a Back to the Future ornament. It’s about time they made one. Look how adorable my time-traveling DeLorean is! (Click for larger view.)
I shared this one on facebook, but for those who aren’t there, I love this shot. I was taking pics of my Christmas lights on the balcony and Mika jumped up on the table right in my shot. So I took some of her. This is with my Nifty Fifty (50mm f/1.8) lens. It continues to impress me with the sharpness and beautiful shots I get from it. I used it in the ornament close-ups too.

Mika on my balcony. I was taking pics of the lights and in typical cat fashion, she wanted to be involved. I love how this pic came out.

I’ll get more updated pics when the monorail and village are complete, but seeing as it took us this long just to get the tree done, I wanted to hurry up and share! 😉

Thanks for posting. I always love seeing your tree. It’s always gorgeous!
Aw, thanks! I told Love that we have Christmas Tree fans that enjoy seeing it each year and he laughed. I don’t think he believed me until I showed him some comments! 😉
What a lovely shot of Mika! I really must use my 50mm lens more.
I love your Christmas tree too, sadly Mika (UK) would putt ours down if we we had one, so we have to make do with Christmas lights. Actually, Mika (UK) was busy trying to help me do some Christmas crafts last night and nearly ended up with a pierced nose as I was sewing!
The 50mm is my first prime lens so I’m still getting used to that aspect but every time I use it, I’m impressed by it. 🙂
Oh no! Tell Mika (UK) to be more careful when he “helps” you. LOL
