So a very busy day today. Lots to recount so I’ll try to break it up to make it more manageable. Doctor’s Appointment: 2 week checkup on Lupron / Plan Moving Forward So apparently things aren’t really bad the first two weeks on Lupron. It gets worse. (Greaaaat.) My body aches and fatigue are going…

Good news!
I’m getting ready for my appointment, but briefly, I just had to share good news about Love’s dad. The tube is out! He’s awake and aware and breathing entirely on his own now. Oh thank goodness! He’s still going to be in the hospital for probably a month at least and there are still concerns;…
More Health Updates
Seems like by the time I get a moment to update, the news is already outdated. *sigh* But here’s the latest. Love’s Dad He’s still on the respirator. They have turned it off several times and he did breathe on his own, however, he’s not conscious right now and they won’t remove it until he…
Health and Medical Updates
Been a busy few days so let me try to break it down. Good and bad in the health department. First the good…. Love’s Dad He’s doing better thank goodness. He was on two medications to keep his blood pressure regulated but they’ve got him off both and he’s maintaining it on his own. His…
Waiting
I went down to Love’s work and met up with him to drive the rest of the way down to the hospital. Love’s Dad is still critical but there is some improvement. His kidneys are improving their function and he’s producing more urine. His blood pressure is stabilizing (it was too low) and they’re weening…
Love’s Dad
I just talked to Love. His dad has taken a serious turn for the worse. They thought the origin of the infection was the gallbladder and removing most of it would make him better but apparently not because he’s worse. Much worse. He’s going septic and he’s on a ventilator. They’re flooding him with antibiotics…
Wednesday
Wednesday was a stressful day. Love’s Dad Love’s dad went into surgery around 3pm today. They removed most of his gallbladder and it was apparently riddled with tiny stones. It was very badly infected. The doctor said that they think the severity of the infection was what was impacting his heart and it’s irregular beating…

Don’t Get Sick In America
My hospital bill showed up last night. As you probably already know, on May 29th after two days of extreme (and increasing) pain, I went to the ER. Though I have a day job, it does not offer me medical insurance. I was in the ER from about 5pm until about 6am the next morning….
Briefly
So far they think Love’s dad has gallstones. They also found his heartbeat is irregular, so they’re going to use a defibrillator to try to jump it back in rhythm. Love came home this evening and as far as I know, his dad is staying at least overnight in the hospital. Hopefully, we’ll know more…
Rough Day
Woke up about an hour after falling asleep last night in really severe pain in my stomach and abdomen. Was able to get back to sleep though and it was better when I woke up but, at that point, I had a really miserable headache/migraine. Been that way all day. Tried to list a few…
Weekend Update
It’s kinda been a busy weekend and I was getting ready to go to bed but not quite tired enough to sleep yet so I thought I’d spend a few minutes writing up an update. Friday I finally had my much belated birthday lunch with my Mom and sister. They were out in Vegas for…
Where It All Began
This is the wristband I wore in the hospital. I had an ER one prior to this but this is the one they changed it to when I was admitted. This is why I’m working so hard to raise awareness and the funds for my surgery. And, as of next Friday when it’s payday again,…
Officially Down To One Income
Well, I had wanted to get back to work for a couple weeks while on the Lupron, (to earn some income of course!) but my work will not allow me to return without a doctor’s note stating I am 100% cleared for ALL my duties and my FULL schedule. Obviously I can’t say that right…
Shot Day 1
So I had the Lupron shot yesterday and I thought I’d update how it’s going so far. This entry may be a little TMI but seeing as I’m talking about my uterus on a daily basis these days, really, I think I already left modesty pretty far behind. *chuckles* First, in order get the shot,…
